If you know me in real life and have found this blog, please honour my wishes and don't read on. I need this place to freely write my feelings to help me to heal and if you're reading, I'll censor myself. I have no way of knowing who is reading so all I can do is trust you to honour my wishes. Thank you.

Happy Birthday My Darling Girl

Matilda - It's your birthday today. I hope you're having fun up there with all your little friends. We love you and wish we were throwing a first birthday party for you. Please don't see our tears as tears of sadness - they're tears from our love for you. A year ago we had hope and dreams for your life with us. Now we look to the memories you gave us and we're so honoured we got to be your parents. Please know we think about you all the time and we love you in a way that I haven't really got the words for.

Happy 1st Birthday Tilly. Love Mum and Dad xx

  4. I've only been reading you for a short while, but I wanted to say how your story really touched me. It's nothing short of heartbreaking, and it brought me to tears to think about lovely little Matilda and how she didn't make it. I simply wanted to say I hope you find some semblence of peace during this time of remembrance and looking back and overwhelming ache.

Although through your memories and soul and feeling, I really do believe she lives on. She lives on in everything you do, as indeed she always will. That's what you've got to keep hold of. I really think it's not only you who has lost her; she has lost out just as much. Suppose she is missing you like you do her. And suppose she always will.

    Much Love

  7. I've just come across your blog. Thinking of you as Matilda's 1st birthday passed. I'm so sorry for your loss.

My son was born sleeping in March 2009, and I have since had another little boy. Our love and longing for the babies we lost will always be there.

    Take care.
